The bailiff called the police, or claimed to have called police.

Should the police be present alongside the bailiff or summoned to the scene by the bailiff, you retain the right to obtain a copy of the incident report. This serves to ascertain the veracity of the bailiff's claim regarding contacting the police and the information conveyed to them.

To pursue this, contact the police via the non-emergency number 101, providing details including the date, time, and location of the bailiff incident. The call handler can offer a verbal summary of the incident notes retrieved from the Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, which you can cite as evidence if necessary.

In the event that the police have not classified the incident as a crime (i.e., not assigned a crime number), you are entitled to submit a written request for the notes associated with the incident reference, in accordance with section 45 of the Data Protection Act 2018 or Article 15(3) of the GDPR.

Failure to find any record of the incident in police records indicates that the bailiff misrepresented their engagement with the police, thereby raising doubts about the integrity of the bailiff.
